Google Dashboard Overhaul to Give Users More Control of Their Data

Written by: admin Date of published: . Posted in test

A major refresh of Google’s Dashboard is on its way this week to give users more control of their data.

Google logoGoogle Dashboard, which was launched in 2009 to give users a “snapshot” of the Google products they use, has been re-designed “from the ground up.”

‘See and manage the data in your Google account’ appears  as the first option with the ability to click to download your data. ‘Popular Google services’ is located underneath.

“The most important change was to improve usability on touchscreens, ensuring Dashboard works well on any device,” a Google blog post reads. “We also worked to make it easier to see an overview of the Google products you use and your data in each of them. And we made the process for downloading data much easier.”

Dashboard, which includes tools such as My Account and My Activity, is becoming much more visual as part of the update.

The changes, Google says, will launch this week sometime, but no exact date was given.
